My Transition – Becoming An Entrepreneurial Mom – Part 1

Let’s get started!  I invite you to join me as I make my transition from a successful corporate job to becoming an entrepreneurial mom.

Where I am now…

Becoming An Entrepreneurial MomI am currently working full-time spending way too much of my day in the cubical jungle!  Here is an example of what I see every day at work.   Looks pretty depressing, huh!  It kinda feels like being sent to my room all day long, with someone telling me what to do.

And I won’t even start with the corporate politics – too negative and somewhat of a downer.  Now, don’t get me wrong.  I do like my job – mostly.  I do enjoy creating applications that help others do what they need to do.  So there is some sense of satisfaction there.

Maybe I am getting old – probably not – or I just want to spend time doing the things that matter even more to me.  Raising my kids, for example.  I want to be able to be at home and actually see them grow up, not just hear about it when I get home.

Becoming An Entrepreneurial Mom

So, that’s where this entrepreneurial “bug” came in to my life of wanting more freedom, for lack of a better word. I wanted to be a mompreneur!  I want to control my time while still making a contribution that I can feel good about.  Oh, and I still need the income as well – don’t we all!

I call it a “bug” because once I got it in my mind and really understood the possibilities, I was EXCITED, to say the least.  There is just something so compelling about the chance to be able to earn income doing something I like to do – helping others improve their lives and find the answers they are searching for.

So, in my search to find a better way, this blog was born.  My goal here is to bring you valuable information as I make my own transition to becoming an entrepreneurial mom so I can help you do the same, if you desire to, and make your transition easier.
